Resident Life

Living with purpose

At Bethesda Home, we believe living with purpose, joy and wonder is possible no matter a person’s age. That’s why our Life Enrichment Program engages residents in activities that help them be productive and purposeful, and offer them a chance to give back to others.

From packing cookies and disease prevention kits for the Night Ministry to the homeless, to assembling mailings for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Bethesda Home residents take pride in doing their volunteer “jobs.” And in less than three years, they have contributed more than 2,100 hours of service to the community outside our doors.

Our approach is unique among nursing homes; in fact, Bethesda Home’s activity program goes far beyond licensing requirements. Our calendar includes engaging activities seven days a week. We invest in this because we believe purposeful engagement is a key to our residents’ physical and mental well being.
