Embracing a new vision: Our second century of service
During the 1900’s, a century of tremendous societal change, Bethesda Home adapted and expanded to meet the needs of residents. What stayed constant throughout the years was an unwavering commitment to offer comfort, security and compassionate care, while enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
Now, as we enter our second century of service, Bethesda Home must adapt again to the changing needs of current and future residents.
An exciting three-phase plan will remodel, rebuild and reinvigorate the entire campus in just three years. Bethesda Home will be ready to meet the full spectrum of needs for seniors in the 21st century, and our facilities will be in sync with our concepts of care.
A program of demolition, renovation and new construction will create:
- A household model of care for 60 persons, including those with memory loss
- A health, fitness and wellness center to serve residents and the surrounding community
- New space and equipment for short-term rehabilitation
- Modern 1-bedroom independent living apartments
Anyone who steps on this new campus will immediately notice the energy and vibrancy of Bethesda Home, a place where the aging process is valued and life is meaningful.
Making progress toward the goal
Demolition is underway to make way for our expansion.
